Balloch is a small town in Scotland moments away from Loch Lomond, an area continues to awe visitors. The loch is dotted by 38 Islands and the proximity of this area makes it perfect for a day trip. The area offers much to do and see, the paddle steamer is open to the public most of the year hosting a small onboard shop and cafe and may be booked for private functions including weddings. Close by is the Duncan Mills Slipway a launching base for jet skis and power boats. The Balloch Castle and Country Park offers 200 acres of parkland and hosts the annual Dragon Boat race and music festivals, the centrepiece is Balloch Castle itself, surrounded by formal gardens, the walled garden and the Chinese garden. Balloch Hotel accommodation offers excellent locations providing easy access to local highlights and communication links besides hosting spectacular views.
Other local activities and attractions include the Birds of Prey Centre, home to a variety of hawks, eagles, falcons and owls, and outdoor enthusiasts may try canoeing or go mountain biking. The town offers a fine array of restaurants offering both local cuisines and international fare.
